Foods Department Manager (Centurion)

About the role

A leading South African retail company is looking for an experienced Foods Department Manager to lead the Foods section of its Centurion store. The role combines sales leadership, stock control and team development to ensure a high‑performing department that delivers excellent customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve departmental sales targets and manage performance against budget.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, onboard, motivate and develop the Foods Department team.
• Maintain accurate daily operational processes and compliance with store standards.
• Monitor stock availability, replenishment and inventory management.
• Execute promotions and special events to maximise sales opportunities.
• Identify and implement improvements to departmental performance.
• Manage shrinkage and implement loss‑prevention controls.
• Collaborate with other store departments to support overall store objectives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent NQF qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in FMCG retail, preferably within a Foods department.
• Strong understanding of stock management and retail operations.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Residence in or near Centurion.
