Food & Beverage Support Expert – Hotel

About the role

The Food & Beverage Support Expert ensures smooth operation of the hotel’s food and beverage areas by handling set‑up, cleaning, stock replenishment and guest interaction. Working on‑site at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice, you will contribute to a memorable guest experience through reliable behind‑the‑scenes support.

Key responsibilities

• Complete end‑of‑day closing duties: store reusable goods, break down equipment, clean all areas, lock refrigerators, restock items, turn off lights and secure doors.
• Set up, stock and maintain work stations throughout the shift.
• Inspect and ensure the cleanliness and presentation of china, glassware and silver before use.
• Follow clean‑as‑you‑go procedures and daily cleaning checklists.
• Adhere to all company safety, security and quality policies; report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a professional uniform, personal appearance and confidentiality of company information.
• Welcome guests, use clear professional language, answer phones courteously and support team goals.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk and move on varied surfaces for extended periods.
• Capability to lift ≤ 25 lb unaided and ≤ 50 lb with assistance; reach overhead and work below knee level.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards and professional conduct.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
