Fleet Controller – Freight & Logistics

About the role

The Freight and Logistics company is seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to oversee vehicle operations in Pretoria. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient fleet management within the freight and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate the daily activities of the fleet, ensuring compliance with schedules and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and driver performance.
• Collaborate with logistics and mining teams to optimise transport routes and vehicle allocation.
• Prepare reports on fleet performance and present recommendations for improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years experience as a Fleet Controller in freight or logistics.
• Grade 12 education; qualification in Transport and Logistics is advantageous.
• Experience with Tautliner and Tipper trucks.
• Background in the mining industry is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Ability to provide contactable references and recent payslips.

Required skills

• Operation of Tautliner trucks.
• Operation of Tipper trucks.

What we offer

• Basic salary between R 25 000 and R 27 000, negotiable based on experience.
