Firewall Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Firewall Security Engineer to join BET Software’s network team. The role focuses on maintaining, configuring and enhancing our corporate and data‑center firewall estate, ensuring robust perimeter protection and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Administer daily operations and rule‑base configuration of all corporate and data‑center firewalls.
• Implement network security controls on edge and internal perimeters.
• Support compliance initiatives such as PCI DSS and maintain documentation of change controls.
• Perform capacity planning, OS patching and firmware updates across the firewall portfolio.
• Deploy and configure firewalls for new sites and locations.
• Review and improve standard operating procedures within the firewall team.
• Design and enforce security standards for all firewall devices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with firewall deployment and administration.
• Strong knowledge of Fortinet firewalls and the FortiGate technology stack.
• Understanding of common network protocols (DNS, DHCP) and Windows interoperability.
• Experience with Juniper networking equipment and L2/L3 routing.
• Ability to work under time constraints, manage projects and communicate effectively with core network teams.
