Fintech Product Manager – Payments Innovation

About the role

Join a cornerstone of South Africa's fintech ecosystem, delivering turnkey payment infrastructure. As the Product Manager you will shape the product vision, lead the product team and align product goals with the company’s broader business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall product strategy and roadmap for the payments portfolio.
• Lead, mentor and grow the product team, ensuring cross‑functional collaboration.
• Allocate resources, make strategic trade‑offs and drive products from concept through launch.
• Stay abreast of payment trends and emerging alternative payment solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, sales and compliance to deliver market‑ready solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of product, strategy or innovation experience in fintech, payments or banking.
• Proven track record of delivering commercially viable, market‑ready payment solutions.
• Strong understanding of acquiring transaction processing for card‑present and card‑not‑present environments.
• Experience with product lifecycle management, go‑to‑market execution and financial performance optimisation.
