Financial Procurement Accountant

About the role

Join a leading South African hospitality group as a Financial Procurement Accountant, supporting multiple business units with accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and timely management information.

Key responsibilities

• Review and post general ledger transactions, including VAT treatment, depreciation, impairments, finance costs, management fees and lease entries.
• Prepare monthly journals, accruals, provisions and ensure correct asset capitalization and expense allocation.
• Support accounts payable functions, petty cash processing, supplier payments and procurement‑related accounting.
• Produce monthly management accounts, variance analyses, balance‑sheet reconciliations and VAT reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and audit schedules for internal, external and compliance audits.
• Collaborate with finance leadership on ad‑hoc projects and operational finance requirements.
