Financial Operations Manager – Cape Town

About the role

Humankind Group is seeking a Financial Operations Manager to join its Cape Town team. This role offers a newly qualified Chartered Accountant the chance to gain international exposure and own finance operations across multiple jurisdictions within an innovative agricultural science and technology organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day transactional finance operations across the group.
• Review and process supplier invoices, employee expense claims and company card transactions in line with compliance requirements.
• Manage payments, reconciliations and aged payables.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate intercompany loan account reconciliations.
• Prepare daily cash balance reports, track inflows/outflows and produce monthly cash‑burn reporting.
• Maintain banking profiles and relationships with banking partners.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve finance queries.
• Drive process improvements to strengthen controls and enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• Recently qualified CA(SA) with 1–2 years post‑articles experience, preferably in an industry environment spanning multiple jurisdictions.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and time‑management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• High energy, adaptable and eager to learn.
• Fluency in English (additional Spanish or Arabic is a plus).
