Financial Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading player in the Information Technology sector, is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead finance operations in Centurion, Pretoria. You will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and close processes.
• Prepare and review management accounts, journals, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle, monitor variances and support long‑term financial planning.
• Provide financial analysis, develop models and business cases to aid strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with tax legislation, VAT calculations and coordinate external audits.
• Oversee cash‑flow, working capital, customer billing, supplier payments and fixed‑asset management.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, allocating workloads and fostering continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Honours degree preferred.
• Professional qualification such as CIMA, SAIPA or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of finance/accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior financial management role.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis.
• Experience in a technical industry such as technology or telecommunications is an advantage.
