Financial Manager

About the role

The Financial Manager will lead the finance function for a cluster of businesses, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls and strategic financial planning. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for aligning finance activities with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and tax compliance for the cluster.
• Develop, implement and monitor financial systems, processes and internal controls.
• Manage finance staff, including succession planning, performance development and resource allocation.
• Liaise with senior leadership to shape and execute strategic financial plans.
• Ensure timely and accurate inter‑company processing and reporting to Group finance and the Board.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate supplier rates and drive financial efficiency.

Required profile

• CA(SA) accreditation with at least five years of post‑articles experience.
• Proven experience managing finance teams and delivering results on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls and corporate governance.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
