Financial Manager

About the role

The Financial Manager will be responsible for the financial reporting and control of a cluster in Pretoria, South Africa. This senior position requires oversight of finance operations, strategic planning, and compliance with internal and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor the company's strategic financial plans in liaison with the Managing Director.
• Manage finance sub‑ordinates, ensuring timely delivery of tasks, budget adherence and quality standards.
• Maintain and improve financial systems, processes and policies to support reporting, planning and controls.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, including analytical reviews, balance‑sheet reconciliations and income verification.
• Oversee tax calculations, inter‑company processing and timely payments.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate supplier rates and manage complex accounting transactions.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud and ensure compliance with group policies.

Required profile

• CA(SA) accreditation.
• At least five years of post‑articles experience.
• Proven people‑management experience, including succession planning and staff development.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, budgeting and working‑capital optimisation.
