Financial Manager

About the role

The Financial Manager will oversee financial reporting and control for a cluster, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strategic alignment. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role combines people leadership with the development and maintenance of robust financial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance sub‑team, manage resources and drive succession planning.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director to develop, implement and monitor strategic financial plans.
• Design, improve and maintain financial systems, processes and policies to support reporting, planning and controls.
• Ensure financial efficiency, working‑capital optimisation and compliance with internal controls and regulations.
• Oversee accurate technical and cluster financial accounting, tax calculation and timely payments.
• Facilitate inter‑company processing and provide financial data to Group finance and the Board.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate supplier rates and manage complex accounting transactions.
• Prepare timely, accurate forecasts, budgets and other financial information for reporting.

Required profile

• CA(SA) accreditation.
• Minimum five years post‑articles experience in finance or accounting.
• Proven ability to manage finance staff and foster a teamwork culture.
• Experience in developing and implementing financial policies and internal controls.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and tax compliance requirements.
