Financial Manager

About the role

The Financial Manager will lead the finance function for a cluster, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls and strategic financial planning. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive financial efficiency and support the organisation's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor the cluster’s strategic financial plans in partnership with senior leadership.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and tax compliance to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Maintain and improve financial systems, processes and internal controls, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews.
• Manage finance staff, plan succession, and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Coordinate inter‑company processing and support Group finance reporting to the Board.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate supplier rates and ensure optimal utilisation of working capital.

Required profile

• CA(SA) accreditation with at least five years of post‑articles experience.
• Proven experience managing finance teams and delivering results in a complex organisational setting.
• Strong understanding of South African financial regulations, tax legislation and group accounting policies.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable financial plans.
