Financial Manager

About the role

The Financial Manager will lead the finance function for a cluster of entities, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls and strategic financial planning. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance activities across the cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for the cluster.
• Manage finance staff, develop succession plans and ensure high‑quality delivery of all finance tasks.
• Partner with the Managing Director to develop, implement and monitor strategic financial plans.
• Design, implement and maintain financial systems, processes and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, inter‑company processing and group reporting timelines.
• Conduct analytical reviews, balance‑sheet reconciliations and income verification checks.
• Lead complex accounting transactions, journal entries and cost‑analysis negotiations with suppliers.

Required profile

• CA(SA) accreditation with at least five years of post‑articles experience.
• Proven experience managing finance teams and driving a collaborative culture.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls and corporate governance.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable finance plans.
