Financial Manager (CA qualified) – Pretoria

About the role

The client, an agricultural company based in Pretoria, is seeking a Chartered Accountant‑qualified Financial Manager to lead financial planning, reporting and operational support. This full‑time position will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and ensuring accurate, timely financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the annual budget and coordinate the external audit process.
• Execute month‑end closing activities, including journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and asset register updates, ensuring completion by the 15th of each month.
• Manage tax and VAT submissions and produce monthly management accounts.
• Forecast income, CAPEX and OPEX, and conduct deep cost‑revenue analyses.
• Oversee supplier and customer accounts, weekly cash‑flow management with treasury, and asset management for buildings, equipment and vehicles.
• Lead a team of bookkeepers and financial assistants, delegating tasks and providing operational support to production teams.

Required profile

• Completed articles at PwC, KPMG, EY or Deloitte.
• 1‑3 years post‑articles experience.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Proven experience in financial management within a regulated environment.
