Financial Controller – Renewable Energy

About the role

Join a fast‑growing renewable energy company in Johannesburg as a Financial Controller. You will lead the finance function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cash management, and strategic support for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
• Oversee daily finance operations including cash, creditors, debtors, payroll and fixed assets.
• Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations and trial balances.
• Control cash flow, treasury activities and banking relationships.
• Prepare financial analysis, KPI reports for management and the Board.
• Handle consolidations and inter‑company transactions.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax and statutory requirements.
• Lead audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Identify process improvements and manage financial risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
• Minimum 3+ years post‑articles experience in a similar role.
• 3–5 years experience managing a finance team.
