Financial Controller (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance for US‑based companies. This remote, hands‑on role blends strategic oversight with detailed execution, allowing you to work alongside seasoned US finance leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting functions including GL, AP, AR, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and ensure accurate US GAAP reporting.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, internal controls and close procedures.
• Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
• Lead accounting system implementations, migrations and automation initiatives.
• Mentor and support accounting team members while communicating financial risks to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including roles such as Controller, Assistant Controller or senior Accounting Manager.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP and proven ownership of month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close.
• Experience managing audits and external auditors.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
