Financial Controller - Pretoria

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Financial Controller to join our fast‑paced finance team in Pretoria. Reporting to the Financial Director, you will oversee financial administration, reporting and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely information across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports.
• Process and review financial transactions.
• Support the production of monthly management accounts and reporting.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Coordinate financial information across departments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Handle daily financial operations and ad‑hoc duties.
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies promptly.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Completed articles.
• 2–3 years of experience in a Financial Controller or accounting‑related role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical ability.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in Afrikaans (essential).

What we offer

• Competitive total cash compensation of R380 000 – R420 000 per annum.
