Financial Controller

About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and driven Finance Controller for our Cash Management client in Midrand, reporting directly to the Cluster Finance Director. The role oversees the full financial function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full finance function including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Cashbook
• Manage month‑end and year‑end reporting and deliverables
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial records, reconciliations and reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Manage internal and external audits and ensure statutory compliance
• Handle SARS queries and regulatory submissions
• Implement and maintain strong financial controls and process improvements
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to achieve group objectives
• Provide strategic financial insight to support business decision‑making

Required profile

• CA (SA) qualification or BCom with completed articles
• Minimum five years’ experience managing a full finance function
• Proven leadership experience within a finance environment
• Strong understanding of financial processes, controls and reporting
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Deadline‑driven and process‑oriented
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Self‑motivated, resourceful and highly organised
