Financial Consultant (Umhlanga Gateway)

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring a Financial Consultant based in Umhlanga Gateway. The consultant provides advice on a specific range of products to a specific allocated market and is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: handle simple customer inquiries, receive visitors and refer complex matters to colleagues
• Solutions analysis: assess routine inquiries against established standards and protocols
• CRM data: keep basic customer details accurate and record follow-up actions and notes from each sales call
• Clarify customer needs using a multilevel sales script, then prospect potential customers by phone or in person
• Act as first point of contact for customer queries and complaints
• Follow mandatory procedures to meet quality standards and regulatory and internal codes of conduct
• Support business development and identify potential customers through information, referrals and recommendations from existing clients
• Select and enter data into spreadsheets or standard formats, and contribute to a network of people, technologies and ideas inside and outside the company

Required profile

• National Certificate (Nat Cert) required
• 1 year of sales or service experience, preferably in retail, banking or financial industries
