Financial Advisor / Planner

About the role

Our client is a well‑established financial services business specialising in insurance brokerage and risk‑management solutions. They are looking for a motivated Financial Advisor with short‑term insurance experience to deliver personalised advice, build lasting client relationships and benefit from uncapped earning potential.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of short‑term and commercial insurance clients.
• Advise clients on suitable insurance solutions, including commercial, plant, construction, heavy commercial vehicles and personal lines.
• Conduct client needs analyses and provide professional financial advice.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships and oversee policy renewals to ensure high retention.
• Use Momentum systems and tools to deliver effective advisory services.
• Assist clients throughout the claims process, offering guidance and support.
• Collaborate with junior team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Prepare quotations, policy documentation and insurance contracts.
• Support underwriting, policy administration and paraplanning functions.
• Process and maintain insurance policies in compliance with industry regulations.

Required profile

• RE5 qualification (RE1 beneficial).
• NQF 5 / Matric qualification; a degree in Finance or Economics is advantageous.
• Minimum five years’ experience as a Financial Advisor in short‑term and commercial insurance.
• Experience with commercial insurance such as plant, construction and HCV insurance is a plus.
• Own a reliable vehicle.

What we offer

• Basic salary of R20,000 for the first 3–6 months.
• Attractive commission structure with earning potential of R25,000 – R90,000+ per month.
• Commission split of 60/40 plus broker and binder fees on every signed premium.
