Financial Advisor – Long Term Insurance & Estate Planning

About the role

Matla Life Investments is seeking a client‑focused Financial Advisor specialised in long‑term insurance and estate planning. You will work directly with individuals to protect their assets, draft wills and trusts, and guide them through succession planning.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and needs analyses for wills, trusts and long‑term insurance products.
• Draft, review and finalise wills, testamentary trusts and related estate planning documents.
• Educate clients on estate duty, capital gains tax and succession strategies.
• Ensure all documentation complies with the Wills Act, Trust Property Control Act, FSCA regulations and POPIA.
• Liaise with attorneys, executors and the Master’s Office during estate administration.
• Participate in field activations, financial‑literacy workshops and build referral networks.
• Meet monthly KPIs for consultations, wills drafted and revenue targets.

Required profile

• LLB, BCom Law, Diploma in Estate Planning or Paralegal Studies (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in wills, estates or financial advisory.
• Knowledge of NQF 5, RE5 and Class of Business Long‑Term Insurance A (if selling products).
• Certificate in Wills & Estates or Estate Planning is an advantage.
• Experience with Master’s Office processes is a plus.
