Financial Accountant – Power Solutions Industry

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join a well‑established power solutions company in Lanseria. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure the accuracy of financial records, maintain strong controls, and support day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve customer credit releases in line with policy.
• Process supplier invoices on the ERP system, matching them to purchase orders and GRNs.
• Liaise with suppliers for outstanding invoices and statements.
• Maintain relationships with clearing agents and reconcile their accounts.
• Prepare product costings, credit‑card transactions, and debit‑order processing.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, calculate monthly depreciation and post journals.
• Perform general‑ledger reconciliations, including suspense and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Capture inventory transactions, reconcile stock counts, and release inventory journals.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and handle foreign receipts.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end financial reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, reconciliations, VAT and fixed assets.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with an ERP accounting system.
