Financial Accountant (Mid Level)

About the role

Mobelli is seeking a detail‑driven Financial Accountant to join its Cape Town showroom team. This mid‑level position focuses on delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining clean records, and turning data into actionable business insight.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and ensure timely delivery of financial information.
• Maintain clean general ledger records, manage journals, accruals, provisions, and perform ledger reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank, debtor, creditor, and inventory accounts to guarantee data accuracy.
• Own stock value accuracy, margin reporting, and gross profit tracking to support business decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes with precise financial data.
• Ensure VAT, PAYE, and other compliance requirements are met responsibly.
• Utilise Excel, Erply, and ERP systems to improve reporting, accountability, and financial control.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to clean, reliable financial records.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to translate numbers into business insight.
• Ownership mindset, problem‑solving attitude, and a drive to raise standards.
• Mid‑level experience in accounting or finance within a growing business.
