Financial Accountant

About the role

Join a well‑renowned finance organisation in Cape Town’s City Bowl as a Financial Accountant. You will own the preparation of key financial statements, ensure statutory compliance and provide insightful analysis to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and deliver meaningful insights.
• Manage reconciliations, journals, debtors, creditors and cash‑flow reporting.
• Compile annual financial statements and support external audits.
• Oversee VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Support company secretarial and governance activities.
• Assist with funding and financing documentation.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to solve problems and drive outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Sound knowledge of VAT, PAYE and Income Tax legislation.
• Experience preparing management accounts.
• B.Com Accounting (or similar) qualification; SAIPA articles advantageous.
