Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Financial Accountant to join a well‑established, growing organisation in Midrand. The role offers the chance to apply your SAIPA articles experience and commercial accounting background to support the finance team in delivering accurate financial information and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform general ledger and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end reporting processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis activities.
• Assist with VAT, tax and statutory compliance.
• Prepare audit documentation and liaise with external auditors.
• Identify and implement process improvement and internal control enhancements.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Completed SAIPA articles (non‑negotiable).
• Minimum two years of commercial accounting experience after articles.
• Strong academic record (distinctions, Dean’s List, Golden Key, etc.) preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
