Finance & Value Manager

About the role

The Finance & Value Manager role is a senior position within a leading financial services group based in Johannesburg. You will shape and execute financial strategy across multiple business units, providing insight and advisory support to senior stakeholders. The role combines technical financial expertise with leadership of finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive financial management services to various business units.
• Lead and mentor finance teams, fostering professional development.
• Develop, implement, and optimise financial processes, systems, and control frameworks.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles.
• Conduct in‑depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide strategic financial advice and support to senior business leaders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Drive initiatives to enhance financial efficiency and value creation.

Required profile

• A relevant undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
• A BCom Honours in Accounting or Finance (highly desirable).
• Minimum three years’ experience in a finance managerial role, preferably in financial services.
• Proven proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
• Experience engaging with senior business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of financial advisory principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
• Ability to develop and implement robust financial systems and controls.
