Finance & Operations Manager

About the role

Humankind Group is a fast‑growing technology business in Cape Town that is digitising a traditional industry. The Finance & Operations Manager will work in a hybrid setting, combining finance administration with day‑to‑day office and operational management to support rapid scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue client invoices accurately.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payments, supplier and customer balances.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Assist with monthly reporting, cash‑flow summaries and other financial administration.
• Onboard new suppliers and vendors.
• Handle incoming client requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain supplier relationships and coordinate service providers.
• Oversee purchasing of stock, hardware and office supplies.
• Maintain organised office operations, scheduling and logistics.
• Support business growth through process improvements and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of finance/accounting experience.
• Minimum 2 years of operations, office management or administration experience.
• Strong experience in invoicing, reconciliations and supplier management.
• Excellent communication, organisational and multitasking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel, Google Sheets and Microsoft Office skills.
