Finance Officer (Non-profit)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Officer to join The Unlimited Child, a non‑profit dedicated to creating opportunities for young people. In this position you will support the organisation’s financial operations, ensuring every rand is managed with accuracy, accountability and care. You will work closely with the finance team and senior management to maintain transparent financial practices.

Key responsibilities

• Process financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations.
• Support compliance activities and prepare required reports.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budgets.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with month‑end closing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial data aligns with the organisation’s mission.

Required profile

• BCom in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent qualification.
• 2‑4 years of experience in finance operations.
• Experience working in a non‑profit, NGO, government or public‑sector environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
