Finance Officer

About the role

Ndou Attorneys is seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to own the finance and HR functions across the firm and its related companies. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will design, implement and manage financial and operational systems from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Build, manage and report on the firm’s budget and those of related entities, explaining variances.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and maintain a rolling cash‑flow forecast.
• Drive recovery of outstanding fees and manage debtors and collections.
• Oversee creditors, payroll and expenditure controls across the group.
• Handle HR duties including contracts, leave, discipline, performance management and recruitment.
• Maintain compliance calendars for SARS, UIF, COIDA, SDL, CIPC, POPIA and other statutory requirements.
• Provide additional operational and management support as required by the Directors.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting/Financial Management/Economics, BCom Cost Management or MBA.
• Passed RE1 and RE5 tax qualifications.
• Part‑qualified SAIPA (advantageous).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, including building and managing a budget.
• Experience working across multiple entities or a group structure is advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modelling).
