Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance team in collecting, organising, analysing and reporting financial and management information. You will provide insights and financial advice to support optimal business decisions for a leading company in the FMCG/manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage finance team members, providing guidance and training.
• Review business budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare BBBEE schedules and monthly scorecards.
• Ensure monthly/quarterly finance deliverables meet Group deadlines.
• Review and approve monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Coordinate preparation of external audit materials.
• Direct internal audits of accounting and administrative controls.
• Prepare and review financial reports for monthly management meetings.
• Prepare annual insurance declarations.
• Review weekly cash‑flow forecasts and investigate variances.
• Manage forward cover requirements for foreign purchase contracts in line with Group Forex Policy.
• Prepare annual tax return schedules and calculations.
• Review and approve statutory/government returns (e.g., SARB, Stats SA).
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Financial Manager.
• Experience in FMCG or manufacturing industry.
• Consolidations, IFRS, Tax and VAT expertise.
• Beneficial experience with SAP (FI, CO, MM, SD).
• Advanced Excel skills.
