Finance Manager

About the role

An established financial services business in Cape Town is looking for a Finance Manager to own the financial reporting function, partner with business stakeholders and drive process improvements that support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Manage cashflow, working capital and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Ensure tax compliance, including VAT and income‑tax reporting.
• Analyse financial performance and report to senior stakeholders.
• Liaise with auditors and support the annual audit process.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, policies and governance requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
• Support new business initiatives and strategic projects through financial analysis and business case development.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification preferred or a relevant finance/accounting degree with strong post‑qualification experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial management, reporting or accounting.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with finance systems.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and business functions.
