Finance Manager – Cape Town

About the role

We are seeking a strategic Finance Manager to act as a trusted commercial partner to the Brand CEO and the Chief Executive of Finance. In this senior leadership position you will shape commercial strategy, lead multi‑year planning and budgeting, and turn financial data into actionable insights that drive performance in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the Brand CEO and senior management to advise on and implement commercial strategies.
• Drive the three‑year planning and budgeting processes and produce quarterly financial forecasts.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and year‑end financial and management reporting.
• Control brand cash flow, manage balance sheets and review fixed‑asset and Capex reporting.
• Ensure financial accuracy through GL reconciliations and risk management aligned with industry standards.
• Lead, inspire and develop a high‑performance finance team.
• Communicate financial insights to internal executives and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or CIMA.
• 7‑8 years of post‑qualification financial experience.
• Minimum 5 years of people‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial, corporate tax, commercial and IFRS requirements, plus retail KPIs.
• Experience working alongside C‑suite executives in a multi‑brand or corporate retail setting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with G‑Suite applications.
