Finance & Administration Manager

About the role

The Finance & Administration Manager will lead the finance function for Life St Georges Hospital and its related entities. Reporting to the Hospital Manager, the role combines financial stewardship with people leadership to support the organisation's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership aligned with Life values, sponsor initiatives, and actively participate in MANCO, regional and RSRT meetings.
• Recruit, retain, motivate and develop finance and administration staff in line with company policies.
• Manage the general ledger close, prepare variance analysis, and deliver accurate financial reporting to hospital and board leadership.
• Support Hospital, Nursing and Pharmacy managers with cost analysis, stock control and other financial insights.
• Develop and maintain operating and capital expenditure budgets, ensuring sign‑off and communication across all units.
• Prepare annual control checklists, coordinate internal and external audits, and achieve green audit ratings.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment and safeguard company assets.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing finance functions in a hospital or similar healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and corporate governance protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, recruit and develop staff.
• Experience preparing board packs, budgets and financial models for capex projects.
• Ability to coordinate audits and maintain robust internal controls.
