Filler Packer – Production Packaging Operator

About the role

The Filler Packer works on the production floor to operate and maintain primary and secondary packaging equipment. This position ensures that finished products are packed to quality standards, within production specifications, and at the required cost.

Key responsibilities

• Operate primary processing and packaging machinery, adjusting settings to meet production parameters.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine checks to ensure safety features are functional.
• Complete operational documents, records, and non‑conformance reports as required.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines.
• Participate in continuous improvement sessions, such as Invocoms and MECP activities.
• Adhere to hygiene, housekeeping, and health‑and‑safety regulations at all times.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and report hazards promptly.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and product quality.
• Willingness to work staggered shifts, including lunch breaks, to support continuous operation.
• Alignment with the company’s employment equity goals.

Required skills

• Operation of packaging and processing equipment.
• Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of SOP compliance and documentation.
