Field Service Technician – Automotive & Injection Moulding

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Field Service Technician to support our automotive component customers in the Rosslyn area. The role involves travelling to client sites to install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot complex mould and hot‑runner systems in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical support for moulds and hot‑runner systems.
• Manage installations, start‑ups, commissioning and customer buy‑offs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and factory testing of equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment failures during production and shutdown periods.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure work meets safety and technical standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to solve complex technical issues.

Required profile

• Mechanical/Electrical qualification or qualified artisan (Toolmaker, Millwright, Mechanical or Electrical Technician).
• 3–5 years field‑service experience in automotive component manufacturing.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence and willingness to travel internationally.
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical/mechanical schematics.

Required skills

• Injection moulding expertise.
• Hot‑runner system knowledge (manifolds, nozzles, valve‑gate assemblies).
• Hands‑on servicing, maintenance and repair of moulds and hot‑runner equipment.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in a customer‑facing environment.
• Preventative maintenance and factory testing of moulds.
