Field Auditor (Stores)

About the role

Truworths, a leading South African fashion retailer, is looking for a detail‑oriented Field Auditor to join its team in Cape Town. The role involves travelling to stores across the region to ensure compliance with company standards and to support accurate inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site audits of retail stores to assess operational and merchandising standards.
• Participate in stocktakes and verify inventory records.
• Investigate discrepancies and report findings to management.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of retail experience, preferably in store management, area management or internal auditing.
• Degree or diploma in Commerce, Internal Auditing or a related field is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and ability to travel up to one week per month.
• Proficient with standard office software (Word, Excel).

Required skills

• Understanding of basic audit methodologies.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Excellent planning, organisational and administrative capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication, with solid report‑writing skills.
