Feedlot Manager – Large Scale Livestock Operations

About the role
The Feedlot Manager will lead daily operations of a large‑scale feedlot serving the Far East Gauteng / Mpumalanga region. This role ensures optimal animal health, nutrition, and productivity while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily preparation and running of the feedlot.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage feedlot staff, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols.
- Track animal welfare, nutrition, and performance metrics.
Required profile
- Veterinary degree (BVSc, DCM or equivalent) – strongly preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum 4‑5 years experience in feedlot management or large‑scale livestock operations.
- Experience handling at least 120,000 head of livestock.
- Strong knowledge of cattle health, nutrition, and feedlot systems.
