Farm Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Farm Manager to lead our citrus operation in the fertile Patensi valley. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily farm activities, managing a large workforce, and ensuring high productivity and quality across the orchard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a workforce of over 200 employees.
• Oversee crop spraying, harvesting, slashing, and irrigation operations.
• Implement and monitor workforce productivity strategies.
• Manage disease and pest control programmes.
• Supervise water usage, tree pruning and establishment of new orchards.
• Maintain farm infrastructure and prepare for audits.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with an agricultural qualification or relevant certification (advantageous).
• Minimum five years’ experience in citrus, fruit or vegetable farming.
• Strong leadership, conflict management and people‑management abilities.
• Resilient, emotionally mature and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
