Factory Manager

About the role

The Factory Manager will lead the food production plant in Mossel Bay, overseeing logistics, planning, and overall operational efficiency. This full‑time, onsite role demands strong leadership, technical know‑how, and a continuous‑improvement mindset to boost throughput and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards, enforcing PPE use.
• Organise production processes to maximise throughput, improve operational standards, and implement best practices in production and maintenance planning.
• Manage the maintenance team, develop preventive maintenance programmes, and enhance equipment reliability and cleanliness.
• Lead, motivate and develop manufacturing teams, providing coaching and fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
• Monitor performance metrics, minimise downtime, and drive continuous improvements in plant reliability and capacity.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) completed with a relevant degree or diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing or plant‑management role.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex production environments.
