Facility Manager (AN 134)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established property development and management group, is seeking a Facility Manager to oversee strategic facilities management across commercial, residential, industrial and student accommodation projects in Pretoria. The role involves coordinating maintenance activities, reporting to senior property leaders and ensuring the continuous improvement of facility operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site Maintenance Managers and Handymen, who report directly to the Facilities Manager.
• Report daily operational issues to the Property Manager and provide weekly and monthly reports to the Property Executive and Financial Director.
• Report major projects and significant building‑related risks to senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain a Strategic Facilities Maintenance Plan.
• Compile the monthly Operations Report for shareholder inclusion.
• Attend monthly Asset Management meetings to discuss operational matters.
• Liaise with internal and external parties on maintenance, renovation and construction projects throughout the year.
• Account for CAPEX and OPEX budgets related to maintenance, renovations and construction.
• Collaborate with Development Director, Financial Director and Property Executive on project matters.
• Plan and supervise all required maintenance, including the annual Maintenance Schedule, within budget.
• Negotiate and manage SLAs with Soft Services and Hard Services suppliers, ensuring monthly KPI achievement.
• Remain available for overtime as needed.
