Facilities & Restaurant Manager – Multi‑Venue Operations (Eastern Cape)

About the role

This senior position leads a unique, multi‑venue food and beverage operation within a premier South African tourism destination. The manager will oversee a sit‑down restaurant, a bush‑braai boma, a coffee & grab‑and‑go outlet, and event services such as weddings and conferences, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while driving profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of the operation across the four trading venues, maintaining brand standards and food quality.
• Manage a on‑site team of approximately 40 staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, transport, housing and welfare.
• Control financial performance, budgeting, cost control and revenue growth for each income stream.
• Handle extended, flexible hospitality hours from pre‑dawn service to evening dining.
• Diagnose and resolve operational breakdowns on‑site with limited external support.
• Engage with SANParks representatives, board members, park staff and cleaning teams.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) minimum; tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Food Service or Business Management preferred.
• 8–10 years of management experience in a recognised hospitality, premium café, restaurant or tourism environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in a remote setting.
• Strong people‑leadership skills and experience managing sizable teams.
