Facilities Manager

About the role

The Facilities Manager will oversee the safe, compliant, and cost‑effective operation of Pele Energy Group’s Johannesburg head office and Cape Town satellite office. This role ensures that all building services, workplace environments, and support functions meet business needs and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and maintenance of both office locations, including preventative and reactive programmes.
• Oversee building services such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, generators, security, fire safety, lighting and utilities.
• Coordinate with landlords, managing agents, contractors and service providers, conducting regular inspections and corrective actions.
• Plan and execute office space allocation, moves, seating arrangements and workspace design.
• Maintain office consumables, procurement controls and support company events and executive requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, conduct audits, risk assessments and manage incident response.
• Source, appoint and manage suppliers and contractors, monitor SLAs and control costs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities or building management, preferably in a multi‑site environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to lead and develop facilities staff.
