Facilities Manager – Cape Town

About the role

The Facilities Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of a portfolio of buildings, ensuring that all facilities services meet lease obligations and tenant expectations. Reporting to the Property Management department, you will lead a team of facilities coordinators and act as the primary point of contact for service providers and tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage lease agreements, service level agreements and contracts with internal and external providers.
• Monitor and enforce scope of works, ensuring delivery aligns with lease terms and key performance indicators.
• Oversee building maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance programmes and site inspections.
• Handle tenant enquiries and complaints, coordinating meetings and maintaining positive relationships.
• Prepare accurate monthly management reports and submit utility readings.
• Identify and report faults, disconnection notices and risk‑related issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and minimise business risk.

Required profile

• 3‑year Diploma or Degree in Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration or a related field.
