External Sales Representative – Yellow Equipment (ZS)

About the role

The External Sales Representative (ZS) will drive regional sales of yellow equipment parts within the independent aftermarket for commercial vehicles. You will build strong relationships with workshops and distributors, delivering technical expertise and market intelligence to meet sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships with commercial‑vehicle aftermarket clients.
• Identify and recover shortfalls by creating actionable improvement plans.
• Provide market feedback, competitor insights and price benchmarks.
• Prepare and manage quotations, product availability updates and new‑product launches.
• Forecast demand volumes to support supply‑chain planning.
• Maintain accurate CRM records in Salesforce, logging visits and opportunities.
• Train customers on product features, benefits and catalogue usage.
• Support and attend customer trade events.

Required profile

• Matric or relevant degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the commercial‑vehicle independent aftermarket.
• Strong knowledge of earth‑moving equipment parts such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders and graders.
• Proven people‑management, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Self‑starter attitude, detail‑oriented and growth‑focused.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
