External Sales Representative (Electrical) – Pretoria

About the role

We are looking for an energetic External Sales Representative to promote our electrical installation solutions in the Pretoria region. You will build strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, understand their technical needs and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with customers to encourage loyalty.
• Identify and contact potential new customers and visit existing clients on site and at construction sites.
• Generate orders by interpreting technical requirements and providing accurate information.
• Schedule and conduct product demonstrations for prospects.
• Handle telephone and email enquiries, including pricing, quotes and issue resolution.
• Follow company sales procedures: capture orders, check allocations, print picking tickets and coordinate special deliveries.
• Monitor back‑orders, communicate stock concerns and follow up on critical projects.
• Represent the company at industrial trade shows to generate leads.
• Track industry trends, suggest marketing strategies and support clients to enhance the company’s reputation.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar sales role.
• General knowledge of the electrical industry and cable management systems.
