External Sales Representative – Edenvale, Johannesburg

About the role

The External Sales Representative will drive revenue growth in the Edenvale area by building strong customer relationships, promoting our security and gate solutions, and meeting monthly sales targets. This is a field‑based position that requires frequent travel within the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales and marketing plan for the assigned territory.
• Generate new business and grow existing accounts to meet sales targets.
• Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide technical assistance and product solutions to customers.
• Maintain accurate sales reporting, pipeline management and financial controls.
• Deliver after‑sales service and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Matric (NQF 4) required; NQF 6‑7 Diploma in Marketing, Sales or Management is an advantage.
• 3‑5 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in security, gate or door manufacturing.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Strong learning ability, multitasking skills and willingness to work occasional Saturdays.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Technical sales and product knowledge.
• Sales planning, forecasting and pipeline management.
• Business development and key‑account management.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, specifically Skynamo.
• Sales reporting, data analysis and financial acumen.
