External Sales Representative – Commercial & Heavy‑Duty Vehicles

About the role

Autolectronix is seeking a driven, hands‑on External Sales Representative to expand its customer base across commercial vehicles, trucking, construction, automotive and heavy‑duty sectors. This is a true field‑sales and business‑development position, focused on prospecting and building long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers across the assigned territory, including fleet operators, workshops, dealerships and salvage centres.
• Conduct regular field visits, cold‑calling and networking to generate new business and reactivate dormant accounts.
• Present Autolectronix’s repair, refurbishment and component‑sourcing services, tailoring the pitch to each customer’s needs.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, log activities in the CRM, and report weekly on progress toward targets.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking functions to raise brand awareness.

Required profile

• Proven external or field‑sales experience with a strong new‑business development track record.
• Confident cold‑calling, relationship‑building and independent field work.
• Ability to meet measurable sales and activity targets, with disciplined follow‑up.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable transport and resilience to handle rejection.

Required skills

• Understanding of commercial vehicle electronic repairs and Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
• Knowledge of gearbox, transmission and engine‑management modules.
• Familiarity with heavy‑duty vehicle electronic systems and component sourcing.
• Good computer literacy and experience using CRM or sales‑pipeline systems.
