External Sales Representative – Cape Town

About the role

We are looking for an energetic External Sales Representative to drive new business and nurture existing client relationships across Cape Town and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will promote our range of products, deliver quotations and close sales while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the region.
• Promote and sell company products to existing and prospective customers.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Conduct regular visits to customers, contractors and retailers.
• Prepare and present quotations, follow‑up and close sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
• Provide customer support, address queries and resolve complaints.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing, and feed insights to management.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer visits and orders in the company system.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• 2–3 years of external sales experience, preferably in retail, building materials, tiles, interior design or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of architectural processes, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
