Express Till Cashier

About the role

ACDC Dynamics South Africa is hiring an Express Till Cashier for its ACDC Express store in Richmond Park. The role covers all checkout operations, including payments, refunds, till balancing and customer service. The position is listed as permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, card and other approved payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Scan items, verify prices, issue receipts and give correct change.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to store procedures.
• Balance the till at the start and end of each shift and report discrepancies promptly.
• Greet customers and respond professionally to queries or concerns.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and safeguard cash and payment information.
• Keep the checkout and till areas clean, organised and fully stocked.
• Pack or wrap purchases to the required standard and help customers with their goods.
• Follow store procedures, security controls and loss-prevention practices.
• Build product knowledge and assist with picking, transfers and general store duties when required.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• At least two years' experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role.
• Customer-focused and service-oriented approach.

Required skills

• Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office).
• Basic numeracy skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time-management skills.
