Exports Logistics Manager

About the role

The Exports Logistics Manager will join Kallos Group’s Commercial Department to oversee the end‑to‑end supply chain for fruit exports. This role ensures cost‑effective, high‑quality logistics services that meet tight schedules and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage relationships with logistics service providers.
• Update and benchmark freight, transport, and FOB rates regularly.
• Handle claims in accordance with company protocol.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for container tracking and deliveries.
• Supervise the administrative duties of Commercial Assistants and act as liaison with Finance.
• Report on supply‑chain volume, performance statistics, and cost metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric qualification; logistics degree or diploma is a plus.
• At least 3 years experience in fruit export and 5 years in logistics, freight forwarding, and claims handling.
• Proven team‑management experience.
• Strong planning, organisational, and numerical abilities.
• Excellent communication in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Required skills

• Advanced computer skills – MS Office.
• Familiarity with QX system (advantageous).
